An Association for Traders Run by Traders Unlike other professional associations in the securities industry, STANY is run by its members. With a small staff, the majority of STANY’s work is done by dedicated trading practitioners. This gives members a hands-on direct line to the future of their industry and allows the leadership of STANY to focus on the changing needs of the membership effectively. Mission
Representing the individual trader. Because STANY is an Association of individuals, views expressed by the Board and by the membership are not necessarily the views of the firms by whom our members are employed.
The Mission of STANY as outlined by our founders is as relevant today as it was back in 1937: - Promote the general welfare of our Members
- Establish and maintain high standards of conduct and ethical practice in the trading division of the investment, security and banking business
- Provide the benefits derived from personal acquaintances between those who are engaged in such business
- Afford the means of discussing related matters and promote the objectives of the Security Traders Association
