STANY is a non-profit corporation. We are able to sustain the organization and plan programs for our members through the generous support of members and their firms, as well as other individuals and firms who are interested in the securities industry. Much of the support for STANY comes through sponsorship dollars and through STANY Sponsorship. STANY presents events and an Annual Dinner Journal in which broker/dealers, service providers and exchanges can get their marketing and promotional message out to a target audience of traders and the trading community in the United States and Canada. Very few other advertising vehicles offer such a direct and focused audience for firms who market and sell their products to traders and trading firms.
Perhaps most importantly, your sponsorship dollars not only help us host our events, but also finance the operation of STANY. With the generous support of our sponsors, STANY and its parent organization, STA, are able to bring the voice of the trader before legislators and regulators. We have taken positions on important topics including Reg. NMS; the short-sale rule; and access, 31A, and TAF fees and have been effective in making our membership's positions heard. STANY was also able to develop and expand it services to its membership, for example we are able to offer benefits such as health insurance, a 10% discount for classes at FT Knowledge (formerly NY Institute of Finance) and much more. Instead of sponsoring one event, your firm will be able to deliver its message all year long. Premiere and Standard Sponsorship Packages as well as an "?la carte" approach to sponsorship and advertising. Although we have enhanced our sponsorship packages, your firm may still choose to simply place an ad in the Annual Dinner Journal or sponsor the Golf Classic.
